Schaefer Plastics North America Launches New Threadless™ Dunnage Product Line that Saves Material and Reduces Handling Cost for Customers Needing Parts Protection
CHARLOTTE, NC, February 9th – Schaefer Plastics North America, a leader in reusable packaging systems and custom dunnage, announced today the introduction of a new dunnage product line named Threadless™. Threadless cradles parts and helps warrant against scratches and abrasions. It’s perfect for products needing high surface protection – think automotive, high value cosmetic beauty products, etc. Using a special process that forgoes sewing like some traditional dunnage applications, Threadless maximizes container space, which gives applications the utmost parts per container ratio with protection. The new product line utilizes various materials like polyester, polypropylene, and Evolon® fiber, which is a trademark of Freudenberg Performance Materials. Threadless also comes in an ESD (electrostatic dissipative) materials option for electronic components.

Given that there is no sewing or die-cut tooling involved, we’ve taken out the extra manufacturing process for this type of protection. Plus, this product line uses less fabric, which equates to approximately 30 percent less material than other methods. This is truly another sustainable win for our customers,” continued Schumacher.
