Schaefer Systems International, Inc., a leader in reusable packaging systems, automation and material handling systems, along with waste carts and technology, announced today that the company will produce face masks for essential employees amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Packaging Systems Division within SSI SCHAEFER is using its textile dunnage sewing capabilities and leveraging vendor relationships to quickly manufacture masks for clients, retail distribution center employees, and waste collection workers within North America.
The production started this week in both Charlotte, NC and the San Louis Potosi, Mexico locations.

The first prototypes were completed this week, but plans to produce as many as 1,000 masks per week are in the works.
