Customers sometimes associate the word "custom" with "costly." This is why we created a custom tote solution that also provides cost savings.
This tote is made using corrugated plastic sheets, so the customer avoids the high cost of injection or vacuum form tooling. Combined with SCHAEFGUARD custom textile dunnage, the maximum number of parts shipped per container increases — meaning fewer containers are needed in the supply chain fleet.
This all adds up to significant cost savings for the customer while still providing a completely customized solution.
The Tote
This solution is a 4mm Plastic corrugated custom hand-held tote with extruded plastic channel rails and injection-molded stacking corners. The tote has a 13-ounce clear vinyl lid with scrim and Velcro closures.
Custom Sizes
By starting with a plastic corrugated sheet, we can create almost any size tote the customer requires. The material is lightweight, inexpensive, comes in many different thicknesses, and is offered in many different colors.
Textile Dunnage
The sewn textile dunnage is created using EVOLON non-woven material and can be custom designed to almost any dimension and the flexibility of the fabric can accommodate parts of any shape.
The Lid
The clear vinyl scrim lid protects the product inside and allows for easy visibility of the product inside.

As with this application curved shaped injection molded bezels can be nested closely together to increase the number of parts shipped per container.
